Placements abroad
CMS is an international firm with international clients. We therefore regard an extended period in another country as an important part of your career development.
After about four to five years at CMS Hasche Sigle, we expect our young lawyers to spend at least six months abroad at an associated CMS firm or another foreign firm within the World Law Group. This period outside Germany is often also spent at an investment company, bank, insurance company or other client from any industry.
The aim of this programme is to enable you to get to grips with a different jurisdiction. You will improve your language skills and be able to work in a foreign language even more effectively in future. This type of experience will also assist your personal development.
